About me
Dan Cox is a former superintendent turned leadership coach and speaker who works at the intersection of adult SEL, resilience, and real-world leadership, where the work is heavy and expectations never let up.
With more than 25 years in education, including 15 as a superintendent, Dan has led schools through crisis, change, and sustained pressure by centering relationships, regulation, and human connection when it mattered most.
Outside of education, Dan is an ultramarathon runner who lost over 100 pounds and completed extreme endurance challenges, including a 100-mile ultramarathon and the World’s Toughest Mudder. That journey shapes his core belief: joy isn’t a personality trait or a reward, it’s a discipline that allows leaders to keep going without losing themselves.
Educators who hear Dan don’t just feel seen, they leave with language, clarity, and practices they can use immediately.
