About me
Liza Hale (she/her) currently serves as Program Manager of Teach Tank, a collective of educators committed to building communities centered on love, learning and liberation. She is a Chicago-based educator and creative strategist with a passion for social justice and a demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships and create curriculum based on love and belonging. Her experience spans roles at organizations like 826CHI, where she has successfully built strategic partnerships and expanded program reach. Her background also includes experience in elementary education, with a focus on creating equitable and inclusive learning environments. Liza led a team of teachers to write the first Black Lives Matter in school curriculum for the Evanston/Skokie school district. Liza holds an M.Ed. from DePaul University and a B.A. from Northwestern University, and she remains committed to cultivating brave spaces where Chicago’s educators and young people can thrive. A certified yoga teacher (RYT 200), Liza leads vinyasa and restorative classes designed to help people reconnect—with themselves and with each other.
